The Turkish Government was one of the first to implement the electronic travel visa way back in 2013, allowing foreign nationals from all over the world to obtain their entry visa online, without being required to visit the consulate or embassy. As of today, travelers from over a 100 countries can apply for a Turkey e visa, although some of them are requested to meet some additional requirements.

How Long Can I Stay in Turkey with the e Visa?

The Turkey e visa for UK citizens is valid for a total of 180 days, and allows you to enter the country multiple times, and stay for 90 days per visit. If you are not a UK national, however, you may only be able to apply for a single entry visa, that allows a stay of up to 30 days only, depending on your nationality.

What do I Need for my e visa Application?

You will need: a copy of your passport, a passport size photo, a means of online payment (credit/debit card or Paypal account), and a valid email address - where you will receive your e visa. Please note that, depending on your nationality, there may be additional requirements. For example, certain nationalities require a supporting document (visa or residence permit) from the Schengen, US, UK or Ireland, for which the date of issue should be no later than the date of your trip.

What are the Passport Requirements for Obtaining an e Visa?

Your passport must be valid for at least 60 days past the maximum 'duration of stay' of your e visa. For example - if you arrive with an e visa that allows a 90 day 'duration of stay', your passport (or travel document) should be valid for an additional 60 days beyond those 90 days, for a total of 150 days (from the time of entrance).
